Continuing updates on CS 5.5 will be available at AE Portal on PVC.

Good sources of news on NAB include ProVideo Coalition. PVC authors like Alex Lindsay, Adam Wilt. and FreshDV are doing video reports.

After going to the Adobe booth and seeing what I would have to pay $400 for... I wont be upgrading. Instead I will be looking for a better return on investment ( cue the FCP Super Meet...hopefully).

I think you'll have some things to complain about FCS too, but at least they'll be new!

No complaints here, just selective financial decisions in brutal economic times...

Adobe is going to have to face new financial pricing realities at some point - won't be upgrading to AE 5.5 personally as the new features are just not that compelling especially as I have Lock and load (no I don't work for them). Rich - why are you moving to sites lime AE Tus and PVC. Both have value but yours was a great single place to go for info without the clutter. The PVC link on my phone just goes to their index page and I can't find you there. The other writers are good but update very infrequently and on subjects beyond AE.

Yeah, I think some upgrades will pose problems for current customers. Upgrades seem like they'll be uneven, like AE more this times, Premiere the next. Maybe.

But upgrades will be closer together too so skipping one might not be bad. If you own a suite and really just want AE, they leave you a bit stuck with a choice.

Yeah, I prefer my blog because Google had made thing easy to find things versus Wordpress or Expression Engine. But I spent too much time without earning anything from it, so something has to give, and I'm happy being involved with talented people.

There's actually a lull in news around NAB and major software releases, so things have been pretty quite on the AE front.

Hopefully AE Portal @ PVC will develop to a similar level, as things will be updated there instead. BTW, PVC does provide an RSS feed for each blog, if you don't like bookmarking.

Thanks for the note!
